Is there any meaning to LIFE???!!!
Has it any meaning to you that life is….!!!!! Unexplainable that we are simply a human being based on a human foundation. We are simply a fragment of existence, visiting planet earth for a purpose designated by our good and awesome lord! All we have is the air we breathe!! For the day when it seems the last to breathe, not even borrowed life support can do us a favor or give us a chance to change the timing of God.
Back to my beloved Uganda, a country blessed with a people of all walks of life, saw the deaths of 2 prominent Honorables in a space of 3 days. One of them was an undisputed, witty politician and the other a well respected, noble and intelligent young army officer.
Many will call it robbing us of good citizens; others will claim it was their time, whereas others will be happy to celebrate their lives. I honestly do not believe in mourning and cursing any more, rather I believe in focusing on what was at stake for that person whose life came to an end – had he achieved his life purpose? Were there any doubts about the achievements of those 2 gentlemen? Certainly Not!!
Since the lord gives and takes away, should we complain, cry or regret why we are what we are? What then shall we be remembered for? What is wrong with doing good? For the natural law says that good begets good and evil begets evil. Ironically we are remembered for either the good things or the bad things we have done in the days of our lives. Many forget the what ever we do there is a supreme being to judge us when the day comes.
There should never be delight in the death of someone, but have hope that we who are left can change the way we do things so that our eternity is safe and assured. Whereas the soul is weak, the mind shouldn't be, for we have what it takes to discern from doing what is right and doing what is wrong. For if the heart says right, the mind and the mouth can’t say wrong. The greed to have it all has left many crying on their death beds, short of the time to say sorry for all the wrongs they have done or cry out to the lord for a fair judgment. The book of the law [the holy book] tells us;
Whoever loves money never has money enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with his income. This too is meaningless. (Ecclesiastes 5:10)
The sleep of a laborer is sweet, whether he eats little or much, but the abundance of a rich man permits him no sleep. (Ecclesiastes 5:12)
Am reserved to say that we are never short of doing evil before we realize that life is too short to wrong others. The book has all one should have to live a meaningful life and the word of the good lord assures us that:-
Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world - the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does - comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever. (1 John 2:15-17)
Let’s all live a life of patience, conscious, friendliness, joy and above all LOVE. For we never know what investment we are putting to our eternity after death.
