Is Africa CERTAINLY void of a Critical Mass?
The bulls of Africa who were once seen as an answer to this continent have surely led many astray. Today Zimbabwe, Kenya and others nations in the electioneering days have set the basis for which Africa has for long been considered a continent within and without any form of leadership.
Much of her cry as a continent is dated back to the era of colonialism with ALL 'revolutionarists' deliberately suggesting not BUT the whites for what we see today as a seemingly 'failed' continent. Amidst the scramble to partake what belonged to us as Africa, lives were lost, property was destroyed, economies were divastated and rights were massively abused. Pillars of development and frameworks of economic growth were left in pieces through those revolutionary take overs by the militaristic tendencies and ideologies of young enthusiastic men - something we yearned for BUT has cost us so much pain.
A few years later the greed and grip for power had lost its unexplainable meaning. While injustice in the law, imbalances in cake sharing, social irresponsibility as well as resource misuse have created a huge gap between the haves and have nots, Africa has been cheated of glory years of 'economic catch up'.
'Eating' as has been the case has created a new phenomenon of high class nepotism and tribalism in our society today. So many have been born and have died not to see any good of what seemed to be their own. The leadership has conned so many through mind games that have kept them in the shadows of the truth.
Today economies are slowly bleeding, nations are continuously being managed by kinsmen as it was in the era of chiefdoms and kingdoms yet the masses fear to take the bull by its horns. Masses are too slow to realize that their fate lies within their fear to confront the desire for justice with the truth. The masses have ignored such critical choices that salt and soap are much more important than the rights to social services, employment, free and fair elections among others.
Roads are dilapidated, hospitals are drugless, commodity prices are fastly raising, jobs are so many BUT for afew, elections are a fallacy and human rights have become human wrongs. The weight is too heavy and yet the masses are folding hands wondering and pondering what they should and can do. The would be educated critics have dollars in the pockets also wondering whether its better to die rich or die as a poor patriotic fellow.
Its long gone yet the continent still wanders as if God shifted to the west. As a man holds the entire nation at ransom having wasted billions in elections, NONE of the leaders has what it takes to portray the truth in the so called hyped revolutionaries that were. King Saul in the bible was a typical example of a man too thirsty for power yet very under privileged in leading others - God did give him so many chances but today he is gone forever yet the nations still stands without any trace of his deeds.
Where are those men and women of truth? Why must someone resort to hungrily kill others to this annoyingly biting poverty? Why do people forget that fast, hungry as they are they are too forgetful to make the obvious of decisions? Why!!??
