WHEN CITIZEN TV & POWER FM REDEFINED EASTER CELEBRATIONS IN THE PRISONS
Citizen
TV and Power FM could as well be declared the 2014 freedom fighters of the year
if need be of this decade. The Easter season was this year redefined through
reaching out to the imprisoned with true love and Christ like passion for the
lost, chained and oppressed.
It
was absolutely phenomenon watching prisoners get back their life in tears of
joy, heavenly dances while declaring the awesomeness of God with heartfelt
passion.
It
had to take the fear of God and the love of men to demonstrate such an
unforgettable practical acknowledgement of why Christ's death and resurrection
should in effect convict and encourage us to selflessly give and love.
Having
been discouraged by our justice system, the 2 broadcasters - Citizen TV
courtesy of Rauka & Kubamba Sunday Programmes and Power FM courtesy of
Watoto Church Ministries are taking an effort to further go ahead and fight for
the justice of those who yet to test this free gift of life called human right.
Shelved cases are to be unshelved, minor cases resolved and unheard cases made
known to those responsible.
With
gladness i believe there is change coming through honest and faithful men of
God who are willingly proclaiming the good news of justice, love hope rather
than judgment to those that have been rejected, forgotten and even falsely accused.
Its breath taking hearing and seeing men of God lift the spirit of these men
and women in songs of joy, gifts of love, words of encouragement and proclamation
of the one and only Jesus.
My
final prayer is that the governments of the East African Countries would take
this opportunity to rebuild confidence in their own systems and allow justice
to prevail in such institutions. Jesus whose love for us drove the 2
broadcasters to demonstrate love cried out in Luke 4:18-19 with such a deep
revelation that "The Spirit of the
Lord is on me because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He
has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the
blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord's
favor". This is what burns in the hearts of men who have the fear of
God and the love of men.
