So beautiful with nice cozy sites in it,
Tall and blessed with a variety of species.
So huge, dark within,
Yet you house and provide a beauty of scenery loved by many,
The rarest of flora and fauna love to live with in you.
Very unique, gigantic, wide and large.
And yet just a few sober ones love you, whereas others think otherwise of you!
People have shade blood, others died to have you as their own,
People have been arrested and beaten for your own sake.
The war has just started, but the struggle continues forever, just for you!
Those who hate you are determined to take your life,
Fell, burn and sale your remains for a mere paper called money!!
Oh! The paper comes from your own called the pulp tree!!
Where you still stand tall and huge, you will be replaced by tiny and malnourished sticks called canes!!
Yet you cannot speak for yourself!!
Your friends, called environmentalists are your stewards.
The only ones left for you.
Does that mean you have no right to live?
Have they forgotten what you have done for them for decades?
Have they ever sat down and thoughtfully pondered of what will happen to them?
Are they suffering from memory lapse?
Do they think you can be exchanged for just about anything?
Have they known how long you have lived? Yet they come, live, die and will continue dying when you are, have been there and will still continue being there?

And no amount of teargas, flogs, gun fire, threats, greed nor will arrogance change our feelings for you.
